Here at Symphony Supply, we offer private lessons for students, regardless of age or experience! Lessons provide one-on-one time with our professional teacher to focus on specific skills such as technique, music reading, theory, and performance. They help boost confidence and encourage students to practice more so that they can improve at a steady rate.
Our main teacher, Brittney Washam, is a graduate of the University of Louisville in music education. She has played violin for more than sixteen years, and is currently a member of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra. She teaches lessons for violin, viola, and cello. Her students range from new beginners to advanced, and she has taught ages five to over sixty. She has a passion for music and teaching, and is currently planning to help create more options for the local youth orchestra in the fall.
Lessons are generally held for half an hour every week unless requested otherwise. The price for 30 minutes is $18. You can sign up for lessons for the summer, school year, or year-round. After an initial month, you are asked to pay for each month during the first week's lesson. If you are unable to attend a lesson, please inform the teacher as soon as possible; the payment will be forwarded to the next month. Last minute cancellations (excluding emergencies or sudden illness) or failure to contact the teacher will result in the loss of that week's payment.
Group lessons (2-4 students) are being offered for the summer months of May to July at a reduced price! Students will also be performing around the downtown area throughout the summer on the weekends.
A calendar with availability will be online soon. Please call 270-443-9800 for more information!
