May Student of the Month '18
Posted by Patricia Story on
May is here, and it's almost time for school to be over! We would like to congratulate the Senior Class of 2018! This month, we feature Landann, a seventeen year old senior at Graves County High School. Landann has been playing cello for about sixteen months and studies with Brittney Washam. She originally decided to play cello when she saw a family of musicians playing while on a trip and was inspired to explore her own instrument.
Landann has made huge progress in the last year. In the fall, she played in the elite group at Murray State University's Quad State String Festival. She currently plays in the orchestra at Graves County, with whom she recently took a trip to New York City to play for the United Nations. Landann plans to attend the University of Louisville next fall, where she wants to major in biology. She will continue learning cello in the future as well. Besides music, she likes to paint and do yoga, and loves to take care of her plants.
Congratulations, Landann! Keep up the great work!
